Damn You Satanist!
There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding about what I really am. I’m an Atheist but I’d rather define myself as Satanic. There’s an explanation why. But first I’ll have to explain what Satanism means to me. As I’ve written before I’ve read LaVey’s work and didn’t totally agree. But I really can identify myself as the true Satanist described by LaVey. I don’t have faith. I am to serve myself, therefore I am god. I don’t have imaginary barriers that keep me from fulfilling my desires. Every man is equal. But on the other hand there are things I disprove about LaVeyan Satanism. Some things are unlawful or a call for rebellious anarchy. The whole idea about Satan being a force that can be manipulated is almost as bad as theism itself. The entire black magic thing is pure nonsense. It has been a nice way to get publicity but I don’t think it should serve any other role. People actually performing Satanic rituals must be just as stupid as christians are. I’m also against any form of organised church. It is potentially dangerous when wrong people make it through the hierarchy. Hey, wait a minute. Wouldn’t that just leave Luciferism? Yes, indeed. If you’d label me I’d be Luciferian. I don’t use the term Luciferian because the Temple of Set also (mis)uses this together with other small usually pagan churches.
I agree with Nietsche. Theism in general is meant for weaker individuals. Every man is equal in his freedom of choice. Some choose theism over reason. They do not feel eager to think and just follow the crowd. This does not make them less human, untermenschen do not exist. They still have the opportunity to leave theism for the weak and join those who are not. These people should be persuaded by reason and reason alone. It’s reason they have to use in stead of theism. It’s useless to take away theism by force when this person lacks the power of reason.
There, I hope I’ve described my views adequately.
