Dammit. I feel so mislead. After my conversation with someone who I shouldn’t mention, thanks by the way, I’ve got to set some things straight. As I’ve written before I’ve rejected LaVeyan Satanism because of some obvious reasons. I could almost say I’ve been shown the light, although you could also call it the exact opposite. Anyway, this is what happened.
Because this person’s residence is within a mainly christian community, I will refer to this person as the Messenger. It’s not my choice to censor my post like this. It was the Messenger’s request. I’ve read the Satanic Bible a few times already, cover to cover. How could I totally miss the big picture? Somehow I did. My first argument was that Satanism encourages unlawful behavior. I was really upset by the usage of the word “destroy” in the Satanic statements. The Messenger clearly stated this wasn’t about killing people at all. I didn’t link the human sacrifice part with the destruction of people. But now it makes sense, the destruction of someone shouldn’t be destructive for yourself. Killing someone is.
The second argument I had against Satanism was the existence of a force that could be manipulated using black magic. Again, I didn’t get this point the way it was meant to get across. Magic is just some psychodrama. It’s nothing more than a ritual to alter your own train of thought. Just to make you feel the way you want to feel. If that’s the fact, and it is according to the Satanic Bible and the Messenger, I’m already involved in some magic of my own. This gets a little personal, so let’s just leave it at that, shall we?
The final argument that was totally obliterated by the Messenger was the classic one; organised religion. Yes, the Church of Satan is an organisation but because of the egocentric nature of Satanism nobody would worship or blindly follow orders of a superior. And besides, most of the LaVeyan Satanists aren’t even members.
So I guess the transition from classic Luciferianism to LaVeyan Satanism takes just one educated person. Really, thanks again. Now I’ve got my info straight.
