On Global Warming

Why did Al Gore get the Nobel peace prize? He didn’t save any lives or stop any wars. He just made a (quite lucrative) movie about a theory. What’s up with that?

Anyway, about that theory. I don’t think it’s true at all. It can’t be. Yes, the climate is changing. And yes, it changes relatively fast. But it’s always changing. We’ve had changes before, even bigger than this global warming. Guess what, the climate is constantly in a phase of global warming or cooling. The climate is a complicated and slow process. We won’t freeze or cook to death over night. Neither will the sea levels rise a few meters a day. Most of the big natural disasters can’t even be linked to global warming. The main factor of the human influence in global warming would be CO2 according to Gore’s flick. The evidence was simply misinterpreted, because the polar ice actually shows temperature affecting CO2 concentrations, not the other way around. Besides, the total CO2 emissions from the earth’s surface doesn’t change that much with the .2% we add by burning fossil fuels.

Hey, fossil fuels. That brings me to another global crisis. We’re running out. Rapidly. When we finally run out we need to be ready to produce the same amount of energy out of sustainable energy sources like solar, wind, or tidal generators. Maybe even nuclear. On this pace of development we’re not going to make it. Not by a chance. This will result in a real global crisis the world has never seen before. The entire western civilisation will collapse. Regression, poverty, political instability, war and so on. So we need to act fast to prevent this, right? First the governments tried to ask people and businesses to start working on lowering their energy demands and at the same time developing new “green” solutions. You probably know how the people reacted. They do understand the situation but don’t see the big deal. People don’t like to look ahead several decades. If we don’t act now we can only wish we looked ahead by then. What people need to act now is an actual global crisis. Just look at WWII, people couldn’t wait to be sent to the front to defend the free world.

That’s where these two are combined. By burning fossil fuels CO2 is produced. Not that much, but that’s beside the point now. The ridiculous notion of global warming was used to create this global crisis. They tampered with the evidence a bit and convinced (bribed) a few scientists. Lots of propaganda was created to convince people global warming is real, with Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” as the masterpiece. And yes, the Nobel prize has also been used as propaganda. Somehow they managed to make most people believe this nonsense. I don’t know how many scientists (and governments) know it’s just a scam and just play along. The effect they wanted to achieve, cut energy consumption growth and develop new “clean” sustainable energy resources, is slowly coming into a reality. With a huge energy (oil) crisis at our front door it’s not a moment to soon.

This time I don’t care the governments lied to us again. The result is what counts this time. It doesn’t matter if you believe in global warming or not, please decrease your energy usage. If we keep emitting CO2 (using un-sustainable energy resources) we will be responsible for a global crisis like never before.
